Suddenly there was no work at all and they were 100% unresponsive to my emails and Google chat requests in which I simply asked if the work shortage was temporary, if I should sign on later, if they still needed my services, etc. They had some "organizational changes" which really has been a blessing in disguise. Often my day began with a barrage of insulting, screaming, condescending emails. This company is based off shore, so their QA department works in what we would consider the middle of the night. There is never a kind word or positive reinforcement only criticism and condemnation. The word “demoralizing” best describes most communication received from the managers. There was no work-personal life balance or ability to engage in outside activities because I was constantly having to run back to my computer multiple times during the day, hoping to find work. I had to work 7 days a week, all different hours, trying to target when work would be available. Often I had to switch to a different account and platform which was a great hindrance to productivity. The work was sparse and inconsistent never a steady flow. They demanded that I submit and adhere to a set schedule, attend mandatory conference calls, etc. As a company who classifies its workers as independent contractors, MedVoice should not be trying to control every aspect of our working relationship as a true employer would.
